Kamberg Nature Reserve Bushman Paintings

A gorgeous hike in the foot hills of the Drakensberg Mountains, to some of the oldest recorded Bushman Paintings. Scenic views and historical insight to the life and ways of the Bushman existence.  A guide is required and can be arranged at the Kamberg Nature Reserve, bookings are not essential but recommended. The Roman Baths are on the loop if you find yourself needing more excercise, cascading pools offer a crisp swim.

Aasvoelkrans Cave

Take a drive up the winding Kamberg Valley home to a large farming community. At the top you will arrive at Highmoor Nature Reserve, if the beautiful views are not enough enjoy a day hike to the Aasvoelkrans Caves. Swim under the ice cold waterfall if you dare.

The Barn Owl restaurant is a new addition to the hometown favourite leather shop of Ground Cover. Enjoy morning breakfast or lunch and shop for your favourite “veldskoen” combo. Handbags, belts and shoes are handcrafted at the on site factory.
