Night 1 to 3 – Durban/Pietermaritzburg Hotel, KZN, South Africa

Take this time to relax, acclimatise, taste-test the local cuisine and register for race day. Your guide will familiarise you with all of the necessary information, including race and route details to ensure that you are 100% ready for race day.

Night 4 to 7 – Tembe Elephant Park Lodge, KZN, South Africa

Tembe Elephant Park is home to the Big Five, including some of Africa’s largest elephants, the famous big tuskers, as well as a host of other wildlife including some 340 species of bird. The park, which covers an area of 300 square kilometres (116 square miles), is located south of the Mozambique border in the diverse South African province of KwaZulu-Natal.

The local Tembe tribe own and co-manage both the park and the Tembe Elephant Park Lodge which lie within their ancestral homelands.
