Hoanib Valley Camp

The Hoanib Valley Camp is a joint venture that was developed by the local Herero communities of Kaokoland and the Giraffe Conservation Foundation. The intimately elegant camp immerses you in the desert wilderness and the simple aesthetic of the camp perfectly matches its surroundings.

The camp is ideally located to provide you with the opportunity to see the incredible elephant, giraffe, lion, rhino, mountain zebra, and oryx that have adapted to survive in the harsh desert conditions.

Enjoy a day of guided nature walks to discover more about the desert plant and animal life, or spend time with the local Herero people and learn about their fascinating way of life. The camp also offers insights into the groundbreaking giraffe research being conducted in the region. After a busy day you can retreat to your own private veranda to relax with a cold drink and enjoy the last rays of sunshine as you look out over the beautiful landscape.
