Sanctuary baines camp

This eco-friendly lodge built only from commercially grown wood and insulated by recycled aluminium cans is named for the painter and explorer Thomas Baines.

Raised above the Boro River the camp’s luxurious rooms are connected to the communal dining area, lounge, deck and swimming pool by wooden walkways. Here as you relax and enjoy the lagoon views you might even spot some wallowing hippos or a passing elephant.

Bedroom suites include four-poster beds and en suite facilities, but the true magic lies in being able to have your bed wheeled out onto your private deck for a night under the stars, or to lie back in an outdoor star bath.
